Former vice president, assistant secretary and senior coach of Sri Lanka Athletics, Yasarohana de Silva passed away yesterday
Yasarohana won the 100 and 200m at the National Championships as well as the National Sports Festival in 1985.
He also won at several National Schools and Public Schools sprint events in the 1970s and served as the president of the Ceylonese Track & Field Club (CT & FC) during the past decade.
Yasarohana was a retired Assistant Director of Sports (Wayamba) and made every endeavour to uplift athletics. (DR)
