Madina promoted in rugby
Madina National School, Madawala who took up rugby in 2019 have been promoted to play in the Division II segment.
Madina National beat Orubandiwewa National School 43-0 in their decisive Under-19 schools Division III rugby encounter which at the Provincial Sports Complex in Digana recently to earn the promotion.
Zeylanikans win
Kandy Zeylanikans Cricket Club beat Gampola CC by 117 runs in their Division III encounter played at Prison ground Pallekelle.

Migara conducts boxing course
Former St. Sylvester’s College boxer Migara Imbuldeniya has successfully completed the coaching course that covered boxing rules, regulations, medicine, strength, training methods, relaxation, motivation and physical training aspects. This was conducted by the Sri Lanka Boxing Coaches Association.
He is associated with boxing at St. Sylvester’s College and in Kandy.
Kandy’s promising batter
Young cricketer Sadesh Thejan Widdhalatharachchi from St. Clement’s College Ampitiya earlier known as St. Benedict’s College is doing well with the bat and in an Under-17 Division Three game against Sir John Kotalawela College he smashed 106 with 12 fours and five sixes.
He is well guided by his coach Ranjith Colombage who is leaving no stone unturned.
