Arrangements have been made to hold a critical analysis of the second edition of the book written by Mal Wijayaratne titled ‘Nacha So Nacha Anjo’, (Neither Caterpillar Nor Butterfly) on August 17 at the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress (ACBC) Conference Hall, Baudhaloka Mawatha, Colombo.
The book was first printed in 2020. Prof. Praneeth Abeysundara will deliver the keynote speech at the ceremony. Virajani Tennakoon, who wrote the novel Makarananda and won the State Literary Award, will give a lecture on the relationship between ‘Mal Vijayaratne and Makarananda’. Educationist Prof. Daya Rohana Athukorala, Prof. Samantha Herath and veteran journalist Karunaratne Amarasinghe are also scheduled to deliver lectures. State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and Galle District MP Gayantha Karunathilaka will participate as special guests.Mal Wijayaratne has written many books on commerce, finance and business studies. Wijayaratne has also released a collection of short stories titled ‘Siv Pasa Mithuro’ in 2013.
