The UNP Working Committee has decided to set up a 14-member management committee to organise the 77th UNP Convention.
This decision was taken during a meeting of the UNP Working Committee chaired by Party Leader President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Sirikotha party headquarters last week.
UNP Chairman Wajira Abeywardena, General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara, Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene, Assistant Leader Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, National Organiser Sagala Ratnayaka, Working Committee members Harin Fernando, Manusha Nanayakkara, Karunasena Kodithuvakku, Attorney-at-Law Daya Palpola, Ravi Karunanayake, Krishan Theodore, Attorney-at-Law Sumudu Kekulandara, Kithsiri Manchanayake and Prof. Prishantha Gunawardena have been appointed to the committee.
Party General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara said that this committee will decide on the venue and organisation of the party anniversary and Convention on September 10.
