True story behind the story

In our last print edition of July, 16 20203 headlined “Sri Lanka’s first female Seafarer on an international cruise liner’ it was erroneously mentioned that Nayomi Amarasiri – a utility deck hand was chosen as the ‘Employer of the Month when it should had been Employee of the Month. Her monthly wages are also $US 1050 and not $ 936 as mention in the article. She was also recruited by Lalith Ekanayake of Merc Marine. The error is regretted.
