
Meteorological department has issued a weather forecast indicating the likelihood of rainfall in various provinces and districts across the country. Residents of Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western
provinces, as well as those in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts, should brace themselves for several spells of showers throughout the day.
In addition, people residing in the Uva province, Ampara, and Batticaloa districts can anticipate showers or thundershowers during the evening or night hours. It is advisable to take necessary precautions and be prepared for the possibility of inclement weather.
Moreover, the meteorological department has warned about fairly strong winds, ranging between 40 and 45 kilometers per hour, expected at intermittent intervals. These winds are likely to affect the Northern and North-Central provinces, as well as Puttalam, Hambantota, and Trincomalee districts.
Residents in these areas are advised to secure loose objects and be cautious when venturing outdoors.
