The Cabinet Spokesman Minister Bandula Gunawardena during a press briefing held today announced that Cabinet of Ministers today (11 July) has given approval for restructuring of Lanka Sathosa.
Proposal to restructure Sathosa was presented by the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Safety Nalin Fernando taking in to account, Sathosa no not achieving its intended objective and not contributing effectively to the economy.
Accordingly, the Cabinet has approved the proposal presented to appoint an Steering and Monitoring Committee to carry out the restructuring process of Sathosa.
