There, was an exchange of views on the current economic situation, health situation, etc. of the two countries.

The High Commissioners and the Minister discussed the impact of the pandemic on respective countries and the way forward.

The High Commissioner said that the state of Seashells, where the tourism industry was the main source of income, suffered a major setback due to the Covid epidemic like all other countries. Mrs. A said there that about 2,000 Sri Lankans live in Sea Shells State, which has a small population of 95,000.

Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said here that Sri Lanka also suffered a severe economic downturn after the Covid epidemic and is currently recovering from it to some extent.
