Tax on tobacco, alcohol up 20 percent

Taxes were increased on cigarettes and alcohol by approximately 20 percent from yesterday, July 1, according to a Gazette notification.

The price of a cigarette was increased by Rs. 5, Rs. 15, Rs. 20 and Rs. 25.
