Wheat flour gazetted an essential commodity

The Trade, Commerce and Food Safety Ministry has issued a gazette notice including wheat flour in the list of essential commodities. This gazette announcement has been issued with effect from June 16 and this step has been taken to control the increase in the price of wheat flour in the market. The government has also taken steps to make it mandatory to obtain a licence to import wheat flour.
