A team of veteran athletes from Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) who participated at the Malaysia – Singapore International Masters Athletic Championship returned with a rich haul of medals.
Nadee Perera who is also the women’s captain of the Mercantile Athletic team, won four medals.
She secured the bronze medals in the 200m, long jump, triple jump and the 100m hurdles.
Among the other athletes to win medals was Dananjaya Liyanage who delivered an exceptional performance in the triple jump and claimed the silver medal.
Chathura Wekadapola won the silver medal in the 400M race and secured the bronze medals in both the 100M and 200M races.
Shavindra Fernando secured the silver medal in the high jump while his performances in the long jump and 110m hurdles earned him the bronze medals.
The championship was held at the prestigious Stadium Olahraga Perbadanan Johor Sports Complex in Mount Austin, (Johor) Malaysia. (TBR)
