Indian Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowala flagged off India’s First International Cruise Vessel to Sri Lanka on Monday (June 05). Accordingly, the Luxury Vessel MV Empress that departed from Chennai reached Trincomalee on Tuesday. A team of officials led by Governor of Eastern Province Senthil Thondaman, including Chief Secretary, Secretary to the Governor and Eastern Commander of Naval Base officially welcomed the ship.
