Moose Clothing Company has entered into a partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket as the Official Cricket Clothing Sponsor for the period 2023–27.

Under the partnership, Moose will provide official cricket clothing for Sri Lanka’s national teams during the upcoming tournaments, covering all formats of the game, including the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) events.

Marking the partnership between the two entities, the official ODI jersey for the upcoming Sri Lanka vs. Afghanistan Men’s ODI series was unveiled in Colombo recently.

CEO of Moose Clothing, Hasib Omar said, “The partnership aims to bring together two of Sri Lanka’s main strengths: apparel industry and Cricket. We would like to use this partnership to showcase the Sparkling creativity, talent and strengths of moose clothing on the global stage. Ultimately, I hope this will help us to herald in a new era for Sri Lanka’s fashion and apparel industry. This is something we’ve been discussing for a long period of time, and I hope this initiative will mark as a steppingstone to reach new heights.”

CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket, Ashley de Silva said, “This partnership further enhances Moose Clothing Company’s continuous engagement with Sri Lanka Cricket to promote the game, and by doing so, I am sure the firm’s well-recognised clothing brand will gain the required global exposure.’’

The jersey has been designed following a thorough research and development analysis of the engineered fabric to enhance performance and ease of movement of the player combining technical fabrics used across the highest level in sport. The interior of the fabric will help to pull moisture away from the skin and transfer it to the outer layer while the exterior surface will disperse and release this moisture for more efficient dry times. Continuous evaporation prevents saturation and regulates temperature in hot and cold conditions. The fabric is highly breathable and lightweight, which will be an added advantage to the players.

Head of Marketing of Moose Clothing, Ms. Kithmini de Silva said, “The bold design of the jersey embodies the passion of the Sri Lankan team and its supporters. It is a symbol of the rebirth of a proud nation, representing much needed cheer, energy, warmth, happiness, and the bravery of the Sri Lankan people. As a home grown brand, it is indeed an exceptionally proud moment for us to be on the Sri Lanka cricket jersey.

“And we are looking forward to bringing the cricket jersey to the cricket lovers using our retailer network.”
