Meteorological department has stated that showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at times in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers are also expected to occur in Central, Uva and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa district at various times throughout the day. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in Eastern and Uva provinces.
