The Department of Meteorology says that there will be occasional rain or thundershowers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Southern provinces.It is warned that rain or thundershowers may occur at several other places in the island as well, especially in the evening or at night.Occasional strong winds may occur in the western and southern coastal areas and the western slopes of the central hills.
The Department of Meteorology has requested people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and thunderstorms.
