The Department of Meteorology states that occasional rain or thundershowers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-West and South provinces and in Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
In the North, East and Uva Provinces, there will be rain or thundershowers at some places in the evening or at night. Occasional strong winds may occur in the Western and Southern coastal areas as well.
The Department urges people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
