Since about seven people infected with COVID-19 are being reported every day, Dr. Samitha Ginige, from the Epidemiology Department, requested the people to follow the health guidelines issued for COVID during the upcoming Vesak season.
He said that with the spread of the COVID virus, the public should take steps to avoid going to crowded places.
He also said that if there is a person infected with COVID in the places where people can gather more during the Vesak festival, the spread of the virus can increase. He also said that people should take steps to avoid going to crowded places if they have symptoms like fever, cold, cough.
