Deputy News Editor of Silumina Subashini Jayaratna won a silver trophy of commendation in the exploratory environmental reporting segment for print media (Sinhala) for her contribution on environmental conservation at the Presidential Environmental Awards 2021-2022. Here she receives the award from Environment Minister Naseer Ahamad. Ministry Secretary Dr. Anil jasinghe is at right. Subashini, a graduate of the University of Colombo, has been working as a professional journalist for 25 years.
She also won the Best Environmental Reporter of the Year award at the Journalism Excellence Awards in 2020 and 2021.
