Minster of Foreign Affairs, Ali Sabry PC, has stated that steps are being taken to ensure safe evacuation of Sri Lankan citizens in Sudan due to the violent situation in the country. He also extended his thanks to India for their assistance in the evacuation efforts.
Minister made this statement via a Twitter message, expressing concerns regarding the ongoing
violence in Sudan. He also stated that, the only viable solution to the conflict that has arisen in Sudan is through prioritising peaceful dialogue as Sudanese people deserve peace, stability and progress.
