Ana Wijeratne was appointed as Sri Lanka Rugby’s (SLR) representative in India and his appointment was ratified at the last SLR Council meeting held recently according to a Press statement issued by SLR.
The statement said Wijeratne served the SLR in many capacities in the past and is expected to utilize his role to strengthen ties between SLR and Indian Rugby.
The statement further added that Wijeratne is a World Rugby Match Commissioner and World Rugby coach who has served as the head coach of New Delhi.
