Minister of Power and Energy via a Twitter message has announced that the Cabinet approval has been received for the proposed road map and timeline of the CEB restructuring process. Minister also stated that the Cabinet approval was also granted to establish a reform Secretariat, obtain assistance of development agencies such as ADB, World Bank, USAID & JICA for the process and to conduct a financial & human resource audit. The restructuring process is supposed to be concluded by October 2023.
According to the Minister the final draft of the new CEB Act will be presented before the Parliament for approval by end of next month (May).
