The AIESEC has been creating value-driven leaders in Sri Lanka for over 25 years and bringing initiatives that have served to impact the country.
As an organisation driven by youth for youth, AIESEC in Sri Lanka has successfully completed many impactful initiatives and will continue to by holding the Asia Pacific Summit 2023, scheduled to be held from April 25 to 29 at Carolina Beach Hotel in Chilaw.
“Over the past three decades, AIESEC in Sri Lanka has been creating tens of thousands of value-driven leaders for the nation. Every year, we have not only grown in terms of the scale of what we do, but in the impact that is created as well.
With the Asia Pacific Summit, AIESEC will also be bringing recognition to the country at the global stage and contribute towards the reopening of Sri Lanka to the world,” Kaneel Dias, President of AIESEC in Sri Lanka said.
The summit will feature a ‘Global Village’ that will bring together cultures from various countries and a ‘Sri Lankan Night’ to better showcase our vibrant culture to the world.
“The summit will be graced by delegates representing more than 20 countries, exceeding a delegation of 150. I believe that this is an ideal opportunity to bring together the youth from the Asia Pacific region to network and foster cross-cultural understanding for a better future,” Lishani Suriyampola, the Organising Committee President said.
As an organisation established in 1995, AIESEC in Sri Lanka has seen great development over the years. Now established in over 25 universities, AIESEC membership continues to grow and expand over the country to create value-driven leaders through our unique development model.
AIESEC in Sri Lanka has facilitated many exchange programs exposing youth to cross-cultural understanding and stimulating leadership development. In addition, initiatives such as Amplifier – an island-wide career guidance program, Youth Speak Forum – a SDG aligned forum to discuss important topics and Youth4SriLanka – a SDG facilitated series of projects designed to serve the communities of Sri Lanka are what makes the organisation what it is today.
As AIESEC in Sri Lanka moves further reaching new heights, Asia Pacific Summit 2023 will be one of the organisation’s key milestones. Together with various stakeholders that partner with the organisation, there will be great strides taken towards developing more young leaders and new initiatives taken to achieve value-driven leadership.
