Vesak activities in schools

The Education Ministry has planned to launch Buddhist religious activities countrywide in State schools with the support of school heads, teachers, parents and past pupils during the forthcoming Vesak Season-2023. The Government has already declared a National Vesak Festival Activity Week from May 2 to 8.

The annual State National Vesak Festival main ceremony will be held at the Kebellewala Sri Rathnasiri Pirivena Temple in the Puttalam district, Minister of Buddhasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Vidura Wickramanayaka told the Sunday Observer.
