The Junior National Volleyball Champions of South India arrived in Sri Lanka on March 26 on a two week tour to play five matches in Gampaha, Kalutara, Jaffna, Vavunya and Kurunegala.
The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation said the tour is one of the best opportunities for them to take the sport to the outstations whose players can gain experience playing against foreign teams.
The touring team is to face the Sri Lanka junior team at Radawana courts in Gampaha, Ceylon Electricity Board team in Kalutara, a combined team in Jaffna, a combined team in Vavuniya before their last match against the Wayamba team at Kurunegala.
According to Federation officials this will be the first occasion that district level juniors get a chance to witness an international team playing in these five districts.
Gampaha - SL Junior team at Radawana Courts
Kalutara - CEB at Horana Eksath SC Courts
Jaffna - Combined team at Puttur Valarmathi Courts
Vavuniya - SLA Municipal Courts
Kurunegala - Wayamba Combined team at Dambadeniya Public Courts
