The Science and Technology Fair ‘Imagination into Innovation’ organised by the Science Union of Lyceum Wattala was held recently.
It brought out the curiosity and innovation skills among young minds.
Young minds can shape their ideas through “do it yourself” methods and by learning “innovative skills”.
Young students got an opportunity to find a solution for problems, to work with tools and equipment, and learn through mistakes and correct them by reconstructing their inventions.
The Science Fair also taught the students that not only is theory important in their lives but also practical learning is important to experiment new things.
The Fair promoted STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics) by organising a kite, parachute, poster and water rocket competitions parallel to the inventions.
