The Israeli delegation currently visiting Sri Lanka has assured Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment, Manusha Nanayakkara that 2,000 caregiver job opportunities will be provided to Sri Lankans in Israel this year and females will be given priority.
This was decided on by the Israeli delegation led by the Director of the Population and Immigration Institute of Israel, Shiely Raisin Sason following a request by Minister Nanayakkara to provide more job opportunities for Sri Lankans in the field of caregiving in Israel.
Most of the jobs will be given to women. The delegation has said that women will also be given priority in providing training for caregivers in the future.
