Failed NCE candidates can appeal

The interviews for admitting trainees to the 19 National Colleges of Education (NCE) were held recently and those who were not selected to be admitted to 3-year residential teacher training at National Colleges of Education can appeal for re-consideration.

The applicants who had passed G.C.E.(A.L.) examination in 2019 and 2020 were qualified to apply for these trainee teacher posts. About 8,000 trainees are to be selected this year.

Therefore, those who failed at the interviews can appeal again by requesting the Director of Education, (National Colleges of Education), Isurupaya, Battaramulla on or before February 28. Details of the applicant’s Index Number, Year of sitting G.C.E(.A.L.) Z score marks, and the reason to apply, have to be included in the letter of appeal that is to be forwarded to the Ministry, a circular by the Ministry stated.
