Three students and a teacher of Tamil mixed school, Kalumunthanvely drowned in the Kalumunthavely area when their boat capsized in the Vaddi Tank in Kokkadicholai in the Batticaloa District yesterday noon.
The teacher is 27 years old while the three students are grade 11 students of the school. Police said that they were on a boat ride when the mishap occurred. The Police with the help of residents found the body of the teacher. The bodies of the students were found later at the sluice gate of tank, police said.
