
The Government will introduce its new reformist program to mark the 75th National Independence Day on February 4.
The Government will announce a new reformist course under the theme Namo Namo Matha - A step towards century for the next 25 years, to implement a stable Government policy until Sri Lanka’s centennial Independence Day celebrations in 2048.
The main ceremony of the National Independence Day celebrations will be on February 4 at 8.30 am at the Galle Face Green under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.
Many cultural and religious programs have been organised throughout the country to mark the 75th National Independence day.
President Wickremesinghe hopes to make the Government’s new reformist journey into stable state policy until the 100th Independence Day in 2048.
Several new institutions for history, economics and gender studies will be
set up to research and study Sri Lanka’s history.
