Egg Producers Association stated that a program has been prepared to provide eggs for all consumers in Sri Lanka within two weeks for a price less than 55 rupees. Also, a program has been implemented to provide eggs at discounted price for hospitals.
Between Yesterday (06) and today (07), 10 lakhs of eggs have been bought from the North-West Province to the Colombo District. They are to be distributed to every economic center in the Colombo district at a price of 53 rupees per egg.
The Egg Producers Association states that free eggs will be provided to Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital for a period of 10 days from today (07) onwards.
