I am an oyster

11 December, 2022

I am an innocent creature in the sea. I have a beautiful and strong shell to protect myself.

My friends also have shells in different colours and designs. I live under a coral reef. I eat the moss on the rocks for my meals. In the night I go out to find food because there are no enemies such as seagulls, pelicans, crabs and octopus. Humans are also dreadful creatures to us. These creatures make living so hard for us.

My friends and families have been hiding from them. A lot of my friends have been eaten by these creatures. They take our flesh out from the shell and eat it. They throw away our shells everywhere in the sea. Our shells are taken to the beaches by sea waves.

We have noticed that little children collect our shells to play and make ornaments. However, I like to swim deep under the sea to explore the beauty of my world. I am happy that I have survived for a long time but I and my friends live in a dangerous situation.

Please don’t pollute the sea, because millions of sea creatures will lose their lives.
