Defence Secretary offers Katina robes to Ven. Maha Sangha at Sandahiru Seya

Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne offered new Katina robes to the Ven. Maha Sangha at the Sandahiru Seya premises accomplishing a longstanding religious custom of ‘Katina Wasthra Puja’ (the offering of robes to Bhikkhus) in Anuradhapura on Friday.

Gen. Gunaratne while paying homage to the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura on Thursday evening (03) also placed the Katina robes on the upper terrace of the sacred venue to invoke the noble blessings.
