A community kitchen nutrition care program was organised by the Colombo Municipal Council as per the request of A. R. M. Safan MMC at St Joseph’s College, Colombo recently.
The program was inaugurated by Deputy Mayor of Colombo M.T.M Iqbal. The program is specially implemented to ensure the wellbeing of the students and to enhance their living standard. Meals were served by the authorities where the food gives them the nutrition they need to learn and grow.
In order to make this event an effective and successful one many wellwishers and volunteers joined hands together. They hope to continue this great Initiative and wish to provide meals for next two months as well. It’s a key turning point in developing the strategies and leading a good life and to improve the sound basis of the socio economic Development.
Principal of St. Joseph’s College S.G.K.D.L.C. Prasad, Colombo Municipal Council Chief Medical Officer Ruwan Wijemuni, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Municipal Council Commissioner Shalika S. Ranaweera, Colombo Zonal Education Director, teachers and students were present.
