Use of smart phones among teenagers

16 October, 2022

At present, smart phones have become an essential part of our lives. Each and every person irrespective of age have become slaves to smart phones. People feel that half of their life will be lost if they had missed out on their smart phones. Family bonds have been shattered badly. Teenagers, especially have become the target of these smart phones. Teenagers are very fond of smart phones. Smart phones have many advantages for teenagers. They can engage in online studies, find facts on the internet, discuss subject matters and notes with peers and read e-books. These are some of the advantages.

However, as each and everything has a bad side compared to the good side, smart phones too have both sides. But, I’m afraid that the bad impacts are high. There is a high risk for the teenagers when using social media. They tend to join illegal activities like drug dealing.

Moreover, they establish relationships with unknown people and those people will cause them various problems. However, all these bad influences will hinder the studies of teenagers. More time will be spent by them for playing games and watching videos.

Concentration for study will be lost and problems with sight may occur as they are using the mobile phones for a long period of time. Teenagers will disobey their parents and sometimes they tend to commit suicide if their parents take off their smart phones from them.

All teenagers should thoroughly sculpt in their minds that their studying period is the most precious time in their lives. The knowledge they reap in this time of their lives will only do them good. So, all teenagers must use smart phones mindfully without misusing them.
