Environment pollution

16 October, 2022

Your environment is everything around you, wherever you happen to be. Your house, your school, the roads, the paddy fields, the cities and the air you breath are all part of your environment. The environment has an effect on you. You also have an effect on the environment. When you eat something and throw it away, or travel to school by a car or a bus, you have an effect on the environment. If you get a headache or catch a cold, that means the environment is affecting on you.

When you make an impact on the surroundings it is known as pollution. When you buy something and when you are trying to throw it away, think about these questions – what is pollution and how do we recycle things?

Nature has its own system of recycling. When a leaf falls on the ground and is there for two weeks it creates another new plant. This is known as natural recycling.

When you finish using an item that you need, you can recycle it too. As an example, you can make a pen holder with a bottle of water. This is known as human recycling.

There is domestic waste too. Some waste in our homes are biodegrable. Things which decompose are known as biodegrable. There are some things which do not decompose. They are known as non-biodegrable. They cannot be broken down by nature.

For example, tin cans, plastic bottles and bags. Materials which do not decompose can be crushed and newspapers can be turned into creative things.

There is a pollution called industrial waste. To make something in a factory we use raw materials from the earth. Some kind of energy can be also used. When they are produced it may cause air pollution or water pollution. Dust from factories may make harmful rain water which kills plants. Polluted water kills many animals, because polluted water is dumped into fresh water.

There is another pollution which is known as acid pollution and is caused by gas or cars and other vehicles.

If we do these things many deaths will occur because of waste. So, let us protect the environment!
