Free wild life visit for children and elders

25 September, 2022

To mark World Children and Elders Day that fall on October 1, the National Zoological Gardens Department has made arrangements for minors and elders to visit the Dehiwala Zoo, the Pinnawala Elephants’ Orphanage and Safari Parks free on this day from 8.30 to a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Children under 12 years and those above 60 years could enjoy watching animals and elephants free, Director General of the National Zoological Gardens Department Dr. Thilak Premakantha told the Sunday Observer.

He said the objective of this program is to provide an opportunity for children to study wildlife, environmental conservation and improve their knowledge and skills on wildlife resources and provide them with some entertainment.
