The Gustav Mahler Orchestra of Colombo returns to the stage on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 7.00pm at the Lionel Wendt Theatre, 7.00pm for the second concert of the 2022 season in association with the Lionel Wendt Art Centre.
This concert features an exciting program of a variety of music, ranging from classical music to well-known film scores and pops. Violinist Shehani Fernando, soprano Nimsha Wickramaratne, tenor Manoj Sanjeewa and bass Thushira Fernando will make their solo debuts on this stage. Mezzo-soprano Rachel Halliday and pianist Dilan Angunawela, both of whom are no strangers to local audiences, will also be taking the stage as soloists.
The concert will be conducted by Srimal Weerasinghe.
