Former President Maithripala Sirisena presents the letter of appointment to Maharagama Urban Council member Saman Pushpakumara appointing the latter as the new SLFP chief organiser for the Maharagama electorate. Pushpakumara has been a member of the Maharagama Urban Council for 15 years. Pushpakumara, an old boy of Maharagama Buwanekaba Maha Vidyalaya, represented Sri Lanka at the 8th Asian Gojuryoa Karate Open Tournament and clinched a gold medal in the 75 kg Kumito event
