Saman Ekanayake has been appointed Secretary to the President, the President’s Office said. Ekanayake was Secretary to the Prime Minister since he took oaths as Prime Minister on May 12. He had served as Secretary to the Prime Minister three times earlier. Ekanayake is a retired Special Grade Officer in the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, with a career spanning over 30 years in which he served in a number of ministries and High Commissions.
