The Education Ministry has extended the deadline for accepting applications to admit Grade One students to Government schools for 2023.
Most parents had called upon the Education Ministry to extend the deadline of accepting applications of Grade One students to Government schools due to the prevailing situation in the country. Secretary to the Education Ministry M. Nihal Ranasinghe has informed heads of Government schools countrywide to accept applications of Grade One students until August 1. The earlier deadline was July 16.
