Senior Constitutional lawyer and legal luminary Gomin Dayasiri passed away on Friday. He was 76 years at the time of his death.
Members of the clergy, politicians, academics intellectuals and members of the public paid their last respects to the veteran lawyer in Colombo yesterday. His funeral was held yesterday at the General Cemetery, Borella.
He actively raised his voice with regard to national issues and other issues affecting the people. He was identified with the nationalistic stream of local politics and was a popular speaker at seminars and conferences on issues such as the ethnic problem, terrorism, Constitution and other important issues.
