Health sector to get 85 filling stations

The health services were allocated 85 filling stations countrywide yesterday, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara said.

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation distributed 6,600 litres of Petrol and 6,600 litres of diesel to each filling station on the list. “We had communicated the quantities that we will be able to distribute to the Health Authorities,” Minister Wijesekara said. Health staffers were seen lining up in their vehicles to get fuel at the designated filling stations, but there were complaints that some filling stations were closed.
