Students observe sil after two years

After two years, the students of Government schools in the Kurunegala District observed Sil on June 14, Poson Poya Day. About 150,000 students of the Kurunegala District Buddhist schools observed Sil with their school heads, teachers and parents to mark the Poson Poya Day.

Here, the students of Kuru/ Halmillakotuwa Junior Government School listen to a Buddhist sermon delivered by two Buddhist Sil Mathas. The pinkama was organised by the principal of the junior school N.P.S.K.Ratnayake in collaboration with the teachers and parents.
