Ballet is one of the main disciplines the Russian House in Colombo has to offer out of the vast cultural heritage of Russia. The Russian School of Ballet Certificate Award Ceremony was held with the participation of Alexy Budanov, Deputy Head of Mission and Senior Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in Colombo, Anastasia Khokhlova, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation and Director of the Russian House in Colombo.
Buddhapriya Ramanayaka, CEO of the Russian House in Colombo, Chandi Aluvihare – Cultural Officer of The Russian House in Colombo, Galina Pleashakova Founder Instructor – Russian School of Ballet, Samantha Samararathne, Niluka Madurawela, Radeesha Bodiyabadu, Lasini Subasinghe, along with and a group of Assistant teachers Sadani Peiris, Kavishka Prematilake, Shenaalie Dias, Nisuri Edirisinghe Samindi de Silva, Vichara Udawatte Nethmi Wijewardena, parents, award winners, students and others were also present.
The Russian School of Ballet arranges annual examinations which are conducted under the patronage of Oxana Karnovich of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography.
