The Interbranch General Knowledge Competition- A‘do you know’ contest was conducted by the York International School Network recently. The competition covered Science, Technology, Geography, Inventions, Politics, History, Arts Education and Culture.
The Intraschool Competitions were held at every branch of the YIS Network to select the best six performers in the Primary, Junior, Secondary and Senior Secondary sections.
The selected participants contested in the Semi Final and the Grand Final competitions. All the preliminary rounds were conducted by the branch teachers and the Quiz Master of the Grand Finals was Rohan L.Perera, the CEO of York Network.
Each competition had three rounds; Preliminary, Final and Golden.
York International School, Wattala students won the championship while the Kadawatha and Sapugaskanda schools were the 1st and 2nd Runners-Up respectively.
