A sound system and chairs were provided for the auditorium of the Pottuvil Base Hospital and a vehicle for the use of the Hospital on an initiative taken by the Kalmunai Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. I.L.M. Rifas. These were handed over by Dr. Rifas to the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, Dr. T.S.R.T.R. Rajab.
