The third year commemoration anniversary of the suicide bomb blast on the Zion church, Central Road, Batticaloa was held at the obelisk constructed at New Kalmunai Road, close to the Kallady bridge on Thursday. Thirty-one people including 14 children were killed on April 21, 2009.
Religious leaders, relatives of the deceased and well-wishers paid a silent prayer, lit candles and laid floral tributes at the memorial tower.
