The Ifthar program jointly organised by the Ampara District Justice of Peace Association and Kalmunai-Akkaraipattu District Scouts’ Association at a restaurant in Akkaraipattu on Sunday was attended by people from all three communities. The program aimed at communal amity was presided over by Retired Zonal Education Officer and District Scout Commissioner, U.L.M. Hashim. Brigade Commander of 241 A.M. Chandra Abeykone, Assistant Superintendents of Police, S.P.H. Senaratna and M.S. Wahid and Chief Inspector S.M. Sadath and Sammanthurai Divisional Secretary, S.L.M. Haniffa also participated.
