GCE O/L exam from May 23 - June 1

1 May, 2022

The GCE Ordinary Level examination papers will be shuttled to regional collecting centres by May 20 in preparation for the examination to be conducted from May 23 to June 1, Examinations Commissioner General L.M.D. Dharmasena said.

He said 517,496 candidates including 110,369 private candidates will sit the postponed GCE Ordinary Level 2021 examination later this month.

“We have planned to conclude the examination in nine days,” he said. Over 622,000 candidates sat for the Ordinary Level exam last year. The GCE O/L and Advanced Level exams were postponed after Covid-19 lockdowns forced the Education Ministry to extend the school year till April 2022 to cover the syllabi.

The examination will be held at 3,842 centres islandwide.
