Safety measures taken as CPC bowser enters petrol shed

17 April, 2022

A Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) bowser with a capacity of 26,000 litres, unloading fuel at a petrol shed in Colombo yesterday. The queued vehicles were barred from entering the station as the oversized bowser began unloading, so as to prevent any accidents.

The CPC clamped restrictions on issuing fuel to motor vehicles and bikes with immediate effect yesterday to ease a fuel shortage experienced islandwide despite action by the Government to ensure a continuous supply of fuel. (Pic by Sulochana Gamage)
